Every class follows the MOE syllabus for that level, so what your child does here lines up with what the school is teaching that week — not a separate curriculum they have to juggle.
K1 – P6
Maths Tuition
Model drawing, heuristics and the problem sums that trip most children up — worked slowly, out loud, until the method sticks.

English Tuition
Comprehension, composition and grammar, plus the oral and situational writing skills that decide the upper-primary grade.

Chinese Tuition
For children who freeze up in Chinese class. Vocabulary, 看图写话 and comprehension, taught patiently and without shame.

Where most marks are lost: open-ended answers. We drill the keyword-and-explain structure examiners are looking for.

In a tuition centre with fifteen children, your child can sit quietly for ninety minutes and leave without saying a word. At three, that's impossible — I know within minutes who has understood and who is nodding along.
It also means your child hears other children get things wrong, ask the question they were too embarrassed to ask, and work through it. That's the part one-to-one tuition can't give you, and it's usually where the confidence comes from.

About your tutor

You are not being assigned to whichever part-timer is free that term. I hold a Bachelor's degree and a Master's in Management, both from NUS, and I have spent eight years teaching primary and secondary students in Singapore. I teach every class here myself.

What actually happens in the first lesson
You are sending your child to a stranger's home. That is a real thing to be uneasy about, so here is exactly how it goes, with nothing left vague.
Before
Once we've agreed a time I send you the block and unit number, and a photo of the study space. Bring your child up yourself and have a look around — most parents do, and I'd rather you did.
During
Your child sits in a real lesson at their level for the full ninety minutes, not a shortened test. I'm working out where the actual gap is, which is usually a year or two below the topic that's failing.
After
I message you the same evening with what I noticed and where I'd start. If I don't think I'm the right fit — wrong level, wrong subject, or your child needs one-to-one first — I'll say so.
